Mouth rehabilitation or reconstruction addresses the rebuilding of all your teeth in both upper and lower jaws to improve the overall health, function, and aesthetics of the mouth. Improvements can be done by either dentures, veneers, crowns, bridges, dental implants or multidisciplinary treatments, incorporating Orthodontics, Periodontics etc.

(Single – Full arch implant prosthesis)

A dental implant (made of titanium) is an artificial tooth root, placed as a post into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth in place, or to support a denture. Dental implant planning is best done by a Prosthodontist that works closely with the surgical team which is either a specialist Periodontist or Maxillo-facial surgeon that places the implant. The prosthesis (Crown, bridge or full arch denture) will then be placed by the Prosthodontist after placement of the implants. Patients jaws can be restored with implants and crowns/fixed dentures within 24 hours of placement of the implants. Enquire today about our “teeth within 24 hours”.

(Full, Partial) (With or without implants)

False teeth or Dentures are removable devices made of (plastic) acrylic, metal or even nylon. They are used to replace some or all of your missing teeth and it fits snugly over the gums. We can construct false teeth for either: a fully edentulous mouth (No natural teeth), or for the replacement of just one or more teeth. Full sets of dentures can also be added onto a minimum 2 or more dental implants, to improve the fit of the dentures, especially if the patient has minimal ridge/bone available to retain the denture

Tooth Wear Management

Worn down teeth are either treated with direct restorations (filling material) or indirect restorations (crowns & bridges). Patients with worn down teeth, runs the risk of loosing those teeth, if not treated effectively. A full mouth rehabilitation is usually needed to restore severe cases of tooth wear. Your prosthodontist is the best oral health care professional to treat these type of cases.

(Root Canal Therapy)

Root canal treatment (endodontics), are performed when there is inflammation or infection in the roots of a tooth. The biggest advantages of having a root canal done is that you will save your natural tooth. Some or most root treated teeth needs to be restored with a crown, to protect the sealed off endodontic material.

(Temporomandibular Disorder Treatment)

The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) are a hinge joint on either side of your face, connecting your jawbone to your skull. Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction occurs when you experience pain & dysfunction of the jaw and joint muscles during movement. Disfunction of the TMJ includes clicking and or locking of the joint or jaw, unexplainable headaches, and pain or ringing in the ears. TMJ disorders are normally treated by a multi-disciplined team including a Prosthodontist, maxillofacial surgeon, and a physiotherapist. Treatment options includes occlusal appliances to address your bite/occlusion problems, muscle tension or trauma.
