Dr. Warren Farao
Dr. Warren Farao is a highly accomplished Specialist Prosthodontist with over 15 years of experience as a general dental practitioner in private practice. His expertise lies in aesthetic rehabilitation, restoring diseased teeth, and replacing missing teeth and oro-facial structures using advanced prosthetic devices.
He earned his dental degree from the University of the Western Cape (UWC) in 2004. In 2010, he expanded his expertise with a Postgraduate Diploma in Minor Oral Surgery. After four years of full-time training, he qualified as a Specialist Prosthodontist in 2018.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Farao has made significant academic contributions. As a former Consultant Specialist and Senior Lecturer in Prosthodontics at UWC’s Faculty of Dentistry, he played a vital role in training undergraduate and postgraduate dental students in fixed prosthodontics, prosthetic dentistry, and implantology.
He also co-led the MChD program and was the clinical coordinator for the MSc (clinical and research) programs, training future specialists in Prosthodontics. Additionally, he coordinated postgraduate diploma courses in Aesthetic and Implantology Prosthodontics and lectured to both local and international students.
Since February 2023, Dr. Farao has been fully dedicated to private practice, while also continuing part-time as a clinical specialist consultant at the Tygerberg Dental Academic Hospital, ensuring his ongoing involvement in academia.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Farao enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children. He values family outings and retreats away from the city, embracing a balanced lifestyle.
